1. Information we collect

• Identifiers and contact details: name, email, phone, shipping and billing addresses.
• Order information: products purchased, order history, returns and warranty claims.
• Payment information: processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers.
• Test ride and dealer requests: details you submit in those forms (for example rider height, business and resale certificate information).
• Ask AI conversations: the messages you send to our AI assistant and its replies.
• Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, pages viewed and cookies.

2. How we use information

• To process and deliver orders, handle returns and warranty claims, and provide customer support.
• To schedule test rides and review dealer applications.
• To operate, secure and improve the website and our services, and to prevent fraud.
• To send order updates and, if you opt in, marketing emails (you can unsubscribe any time).
• To comply with legal obligations.

3. Ask AI chats

When you use Ask AI, your messages, the bike page you are viewing and an anonymous session identifier are sent to our servers and to our AI service provider to generate a reply. Ask AI chats are stored for 90 days to improve our service (for example, to review answer quality and fix mistakes) and are then deleted. Please do not share sensitive information such as payment details in the chat.

4. How we share information

• Sellers on our marketplace: the information needed to fulfill your order.
• Service providers: payment processing, shipping carriers, hosting, email and AI providers, under contracts that limit their use of your data.
• Legal and safety: when required by law or to protect rights and safety.

We do not sell your personal information and we do not “share” it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined in the CCPA.

5. Cookies and Do Not Track

We use cookies needed to run the site (for example, your cart and login) and basic analytics. Your browser may let you block cookies, but parts of the site may not work. As required by CalOPPA: our site does not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a request to opt out of sale or sharing.

6. Retention

We keep order and warranty records as long as needed for the purposes above and to meet legal, tax and accounting requirements. Ask AI chats are kept for 90 days.

7. Your California privacy rights

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

• Know what personal information we collect, use and disclose, and request a copy.
• Request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
• Request correction of inaccurate personal information.
• Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell or share).
• Limit the use of sensitive personal information (we only use it for permitted purposes).
• Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

To make a request, email support@ebikesell.com with the subject “Privacy request”. We will verify your identity before responding. You may use an authorized agent.

8. Children

Our site is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal information.

10. Changes to this policy

We will post any changes on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes will be highlighted on the site.
